after the power loss the compute hosts 'jordan?' and 'georgia?' are offline at the moment. We'll let you know about any progress to bring them up again.

today we had a full power loss from 14:00-20:40 at several buildings at the irchel campus. The I-MATH servers are booting now and all services should coming up. At the moment we do not have any further informations.

after insstalling updates on Tuesday, Skype for linux was broken. We've downgraded now from 8.13.0.2 to 8.11.04 and skype seems to be fine again.

we will update and reboot the Thinlinc servers:

Friday, 15.12.17, 20:00-21:00

All Thinlinc session will be killed and all terminals will be offline during the maintenance:

- Offices
- Terminal room
- Remote access (e.g. from at home)
- SSH server

Best is to close all open applications and to log off completely from the Thinlinc session before the maintenance.

Also we will upgrade the RAM per thinlinc server from 35GB to 55GB. During the last 12 months we had problems with out of memory situations - we hope to improve the situation with this increasement.

The beamer in Y27-H-28 is broken at the moment. A technician is called.

In the meantime: If you need a beamer in H28, we have a mobile one,
which can be installed on request.
